My Special One is an amazing new manga. It’s a shojo, (a coming of age romance story, typically for girls) and is one of my all time favorites. It’s main character is named Sahoko Wakaume, a girl who has no interest in dating. After a broken heart, she’s completely sure she wants to live a single life. But that didn’t work out as she planned-
One day, when Sahoko was working at her parent’s diner, she realized one of her costumers was the highly famous, charming idol Kouta Kirigaya from the band Like Legend! Remembering her friend was a big fan of Kouta’s work, she asks the idol for an autograph. Thinking she was a fan, the boy writes her an autograph and ends up embracing her in a thankful hug, which really shocked Sahoko!
After telling Kouta that she was really NOT a fan, the famous idol started to cry! Eventually, after he stopped his tears, he tried to convince Sahoko that he would make her his fan, no matter what! Later, after explaining, Sahoko’s friend asked for tickets to Like Legend’s concert! So when Sahoko sees Kouta at her diner again with dvds and posters from his band for her, she asks for tickets to his concert instead.
After spending a lot of time with Kouta, Sahoko begins to see his sweet side and ends up having a crush on him. Soon, that crush develops into something a bit more deep. Will Sahoko be able to love again? Read this manga to find out!
