Snow White with the red hair is an awesome anime about an unusual herbalist who has bright-red hair. It’s an incredible story, where the protagonist, Shiriyuki, meets a prince from another area who saves her from her awful future and brings her into a better one.
Snow White with the red hair is an excellent anime (and manga) that features romance, action, and fantasy. There are currently two amazing seasons, although viewers have been asking for more. It stars Shiriyuki, a girl about eighteen years old, who is an herbalist in her home of Tanbarun. She isn’t like most girls her age, who mostly just fit into the background, because- she has bright red hair!
Prince Raj of Tanbarun notices this, and sends guards to tell Shiriyuki she was now his concubine just because of her hair color! Shiriyuki immediately declined, because she’s never even met Raj! Not to mention, he’s rude and arrogant! But the guards persist, and say she can’t say no to the prince. Shiriyuki decides to finish her work, and then leave town. But before doing so, she cut her beautiful long hair into a short style that just reached her shoulders! She decided to cover what was left of her hair with a cloak. Leaving her cut hair tied with a ribbon on her windowsill, Shiriyuki fled the town of Tanbarun to find a new home.
While searching for herbs in a forest, our protagonist sees a house to the right of an extremely tall stone wall. She knocked on the door, but when nobody responded, she decided to sit and wait outside to see if anyone would come home soon. After a while, Shiriyuki heard voices. She looked up at the stone wall to see a white-haired boy about her age stand atop it. He locked eyes with Shiriyuki for seconds before tripping off the wall and hitting his arm. Soon after, two people run up to the boy, asking if he’s all right. Shiriyuki sits awkwardly in the corner by the wall, hoping not to be seen.
When the boy notices her, he threatens her to tell him what her purpose was here. Shiriyuki refuses to tell him, so when the boy flips back her hood and sees her red hair- he was shocked.
After gaining each others trust, Shiriyuki tells her story to the boy named Zen, and his two friends Mitsuhede and Kiki. A while later, after becoming good friends with Zen, one day they received a basket of apples on his front door.
Jokingly, Zen eats one, but then collapses and is knocked into unconsciousness. Shiriyuki looks at the apple, and was shocked to realize it had poison inside of it. Freaking out, her, Mitsuhede, and Kiki tried to wake Zen up with no luck. Suddenly, someone knocked at the door. Shiriyuki answered it, and was even more shocked to see that Prince Raj’s guards had found her. It turns out the apple was meant for HER! The guards said they had the cure for Zen, but Shiriyuki had to come with them to see the Prince before they told her. She had no choice but to say yes!
What will happen to Shiriyuki? Will Zen ever wake up? Watch (or read) Snow White with the red hair to find out!
