Shikimori and Izumi are an awkward high school couple! They both are really sweet, but Shikimori tends to have a darker, more cool side that comes out under the right circumstances- and Izumi is always around when it shows up!
Shikimori’s not just a cutie is a very cute show. The main boy is named Izumi, and our main girl is named Shikimori. The two of them are a happy couple, but both of them are very awkward. They hang out with their friends all the time, go on dates, and attend school.
Shikimori and Izumi truly do like each other, Izumi being shy but kind, and Shikimori being helpful and sweet. But she does have- a different side to her. Sometimes she seems innocent, but other times she’s cool, more mature and overly protective. Izumi loves both sides of her, which makes a hilarious story. They both get embarrassed very easily, so most flirting usually ends within seconds.
The story of these awkward teenagers is absolutely adorable. It’s a really wholesome anime that has its more mature moments thrown in. The comedic scenes and exceptional characters definitely show that throughout the season. Shikimori and Izumi have three close friends, Inuzuka, Hachimitsu, and Nekozaki, and with them they have the time of their lives! There’s also a lot of back-and-forth drama with a girl named Kamiya. The gang do all sorts of fun things, like going on vacations, shopping at the mall, and even just hanging out after school.
Izumi is very, very clumsy, so Shikimori is seen as “the perfect girlfriend” because she saves him every time he almost hurts himself! From preventing sunburn to stopping falling down the stairs, Shikimori is the best around! Their friends all agree that her and Izumi are great for each other. After all, without his girlfriend’s help, Izumi might’ve not even lived through high school!
