Demon Slayer is a jaw-dropping anime about a boy named Tanjiro and his little sister, Nezuko, who turned into a demon!

Demon Slayer is one of the most popular anime of all times for a good reason! I had always thought it was overrated, but after watching it, I saw it differently. It’s one of my favorite anime and I’m here today to explain why!
Tanjiro Kamado is a thirteen year old boy who sells charcoal to make money for his family. He’s extremely kind and understanding, and loves his family very much. One day, he set out to bring charcoal to a nearby village, but after he sold out, it was already dark outside. Long story short, he ended up stopping at a costumer’s house to stay overnight, and then head back to his house in the morning. But while he slept, several lives were taken.
Tanjiro woke in the morning and started the walk back to his family. When he made it there, he was more scared than he had ever been. His mom, dad, and all five siblings weren’t the same as when he’d left them.
Because all of his family was dead.
It looked as if they had been torn apart, and the scratch marks on the wall didn’t tell Tanjiro otherwise. The boy ran to the cold, dead, bloody piles of his loved ones to search for a pulse or a heartbeat, and only one was found. His little sister, Nezuko, was still alive, but just barely. He grabbed her, and started to run through the freezing cold forest to find help. The only issue is that the forest is huge and covered in snow, and Tanjiro had to run through it with the weight of another on his shoulder. As the boy was getting extremely tired, Nezuko woke up. Which is a good thing, right? Wrong. Because she wasn’t herself anymore. She wasn’t even human anymore. Because Tanjiro’s beloved little sister, had turned into a demon.
Demons are blood-thirsty creatures who eat and kill humans just for fun. They all serve Muzan Kibutsuji, their murderous leader. They die when out in the sunlight, and they don’t hesitate to kill even people they used to know. Which is a very bad situation for Tanjiro.
After a near-death experience and meeting a highly-ranked demon slayer named Giyu Tomioka, Tanjiro discovered that Nezuko still partially had human feelings and she even tried to protect him when he was in severe danger! Somehow, Tanjiro and his sister managed to find out exactly what they needed to know. That there could possibly be a way to turn her back into a human! The road to success is a long and hard journey, but after burying their family members, Tanjiro and Nezuko were ready to go.
